Bikademy Challenges

Challenge Tracking Guidelines

Before you ride, check these notes to make sure your activities are tracked and counted correctly.

Location & GPS

Location Services must be enabled while tracking your ride.

Use Precise Location for Bikademy.

On Android, set location permission to Allow all the time.

On iPhone, set Bikademy location access to Always.

Wait for the GPS signal before starting your ride.

Do not force-close Bikademy while a ride is being tracked.

Poor GPS coverage, tunnels, dense buildings or phone settings may affect ride recording.

Battery settings

Battery-saving settings can stop GPS tracking when your screen is locked.

Android: set Bikademy battery usage to Unrestricted / No restrictions and exclude it from battery optimisation where available.

iPhone: avoid using Low Power Mode while tracking.

Make sure your phone has enough battery before starting a longer ride.

Settings may have slightly different names depending on your phone model.

Starting and finishing your ride

Open Bikademy and tap Start.

Wait until your location is ready before you begin cycling.

When finished, open Bikademy and tap Stop.

Then go to Challenges and sync your ride.

You can see your completed rides and maps under My Activities.

Garmin & Samsung Health

You can also connect Garmin or Samsung Health with Bikademy.

Supported cycling activities can then be synced to Bikademy without tracking the ride directly in the Bikademy app.

Your Challenge category

Your category is calculated automatically according to your total cycling distance during the day:

0–10 km – Commuter

10–20 km – Recreationist

20–60 km – Enthusiast

60+ km – Athlete

You do not need to select a category yourself.

Valid rides

To keep Challenges fair:

a ride must be at least 200 metres

rides with an average speed above 37 km/h are not considered valid

activities recorded using mock locations, emulators or other methods that manipulate ride data may be rejected

only genuine cycling activities should be submitted

Geographic Challenges

Some Challenges are limited to a specific city, region or country.

For these Challenges, your ride must meet the geographic conditions shown on the Challenge page. For example, a Residents’ Clash may require the starting point of the ride to be inside the defined area.

Always check the individual Challenge description before riding.

Rewards & rankings

Rankings are calculated separately by category and gender where stated.

Reward structure can differ between Challenges.

Check each Challenge page for its duration, eligible area, number of winners and rewards.

Rewards may include vouchers, products, discounts or digital rewards such as B3TR tokens.

Fair Play

Bikademy Challenges reward real cycling activities and fair participation.

Activities that appear to manipulate categories, rankings or rewards may be reviewed. Bikademy reserves the right to remove invalid rides, exclude participants or withhold rewards where Challenge rules are not respected.

One last tip

Before your first Challenge ride, take a minute to check your location and battery settings. Most tracking issues come from the phone limiting GPS access in the background.
