In the middle of south Istria, on a half way from Pazin to Pula, near the road, there is a small town Svetvincenat, surrounded by woods, vineyards and pastures. Svetvincenat, Savicenta, San Vincenti… three names of the same place, have one name in common – protector and hispanic tortured St Vincenio.
The town is dominated by Grimani Castle which has two round towers and a living quarters. It is the most protected Castle in Istria and the biggest structure in the city and during the centuries presents the symbol of this city.
During summers, in this beautiful landscape, numerous festivals are held like Cheese Festival, Medieval Festival, Istra ethno jazz and Festival of the Dance.
