Kamenjak Peninsula is located in the south of Istria, as part of Premantura, which is located just 10 kilometers from Pula. It is 9 km long and has over 30 km of shore that is full of bays, beaches and capes. This area is inhabited several thousands years, and there can be seen site of fossilised dinosaur footprints.
This area is ideal for cycling and it is differ with great Sea cleanliness. Lately, there can be seen Mediterranean monk seals.
Kamenjak Peninsula has been protected since 1996, and since 2004 these protected natural values have been managed by the Public Institution of Kamenjak. Since then there is pricing for motorized vehicles with big concern about garbage, roads and wild camping.
