Bikademy Secures Grant for Product Development

Bikademy has signed a grant agreement for the project “Bikademy – Product Development,” securing €24,965 in 100% grant funding. Bikademy is one of 120 Croatian startups supported through the Strengthening Acceleration Activities programme (Jačanje akceleracijske aktivnosti).

For us, this is an important step towards developing Bikademy into a stronger, more scalable product ready for the global market.

Supporting innovative Croatian startups

The Accelerator Programme is implemented by HAMAG-BICRO within Croatia’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan under measure C1.1.2. R2-I4.

The programme supports innovative early-stage companies in developing their products and services, improving their investment readiness and gaining better access to capital and international markets. Almost €3 million in grants was awarded across 120 Croatian startups, with individual contracts worth up to €25,000.

The selected companies also passed the programme’s earlier stages, which combined structured acceleration with expert and mentoring support.

What this means for Bikademy

Bikademy uses cycling challenges, rewards and location-based experiences to motivate people to ride more: whether they are commuting, exploring a destination or simply choosing a bicycle for an everyday journey.

At the same time, the platform helps cities, destinations and companies encourage cycling and measure real impact through completed rides, kilometres cycled and estimated CO₂ savings.

The “Bikademy – Product Development” project will help us take the next step: further develop the product, strengthen its readiness for international implementation and prepare Bikademy to serve users and partners across different markets.

Our goal is to make it easier to introduce Bikademy in new cities, destinations and organisations while preserving what has always been at the heart of the concept—making every bicycle ride count.
